About me

I am currently pursuing my  Ph.D. in LS2N lab on “Cuspidal Robots: theoretical study and applications to 6R serial manipulators” under the guidance of Prof. Philippe Wenger and Prof. Damien Chablat.  I completed my double degree Master’s in the Erasmus Mundus course, European Master on Advanced Robotics plus (EMARO+).

I have worked on Optimal kinematic design of a parallel mechanism for Otological surgery in collaboration with Nantes Hospital as the part of master thesis. I have previously worked as a Junior Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Jodhpur. I worked on sensorless compliance in 6-dof parallel mechanisms and multi agent load manipulation.

I also have a professional experience at Grey Orange Pvt Ltd, a leading warehouse automation company in India. I am interested in design, control and optimization of manipulators.

Academic Qualification

Master in Robotics Engineering (Advanced Robotics)

University Degli Studi di Genova, Italy
Ecole Centrale de Nantes, France.
Erasmus Mundus Course of European Master on Advanced Robotics Plus (EMARO +).

Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)

Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra. CGPA: 8.63/10. Awarded G.P Birla scholarship for 6 consecutive semesters for excellent academic records.

Junior Research Fellow - Oct 2017 to Jun 2018

Indian Institute of Technology, Jodhpur. Worked on parallel manipulators, kinematic and dynamic analysis of manipulators and sensorless active active compliance in them.

Mechanical Engineer (R&D) - Jul 2016 to Sep 2017

Grey Orange Pvt Ltd. Worked on several projects involving sheet metal design, friction materials, analysis and optimisation of the process. Also carried out several conceptual projects to improve the efficiency of the sortation system.

Awarded Euro 10,000 owing to performance during pre-master’s experience. Only 12 students from Programme countries and at most 2 students from India were awarded this scholarship.

Selected for full tuition fee waiver and euro 900 per month scholarship.

I chose EMARO+ programme and thus did not avail this scholarship.

Sakal India awards Rs. 70,000 as Interest free loan scholarship to deserving students as an assistance for their post-graduation.

Awarded 50 to 75% fee waiver for excellent academic records in consecutive 6 semesters.

Awarded Rs. 10,000 for being the winner of chess tournament in junior year. I was also the institute chess captain in my senior year.

I am in the initial stage of my PhD thesis and the topics in current focus are:

  • Trying to find a necessary and sufficient condition for cuspidality
  • Build a working environment
  • Library in manim for manipulator visualizations
  • Algebraic geometry for synthesizing the inverse kinematic polynomial

Apart from work, I am also focused on:

  • French language
  • Tennis

  • Trying to find analytic formulation of characteristic surfaces
  • Classification of general 6R serial robots
